Welcome to europlus’ (Unofficial) GlobalTalk Wiki!
This is the home of information about my GlobalTalk resources, and a place where GlobalTalk node admins (including me!) can share information about their network/s under sub-wikis which they control and populate.
The idea came about because of the limited display space available in the Official GlobalTalk Spreadsheet for information on setup, resources, and experimentation, and because of the disparate places and ways my information and resources are made available.
Check out the Latest News page for recent additions.
Sub-wikis
I offer sub-wikis here as a place that GlobalTalk admins and users can express themselves, and tell their own story, in their own way and fashion.
You can sign up for a free-for-life sub-wiki on the Sign Up page.
I see this as a place that admins can share information and resources, describe their zones, the devices and shares on them, if they have a particular focus on the zones and shares, a place where instructions or details of experimentation can be shared.
Some sub-wikis may even be for joint projects, where multiple users have admin or write access to co-create the site and collaborate, or just where someone wants others to contribute to a knowledge base that is important to them.
I think the sky really is the limit.
Here are the sub-wikis set up so far (in alphabetical order):
- Purrtopia is the GlobalTalk home of Sam (and Fifi!).
- Scotgate is the GlobalTalk home of Ferg.
- WOzFest HQ: info on europlus’ main GlobalTalk zone.
GlobalTalk Resources
This is a list of resources useful for getting on, and using, the globalTalk network:
- GlobalTalk Coordinating Spreadsheet Signup Form: Register your interest to join here.
- NEW!! The GlobalTalk Registry: A nice place to keep your zone and address details recorded and in order.
- Apple Internet Router Administrator’s Guide and Addendum: my AIR manual resources.

Once you’ve received your signup e-mail, can get some starter tips on the QuickStart page, which also has information on the plugins and templates I have installed to date.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This site is not affiliated with the “official” #MARCHintosh GlobalTalk Admins, or the work they do. It is run by me as an individual GlobalTalk community member – initially as an idea for myself, but I’m making it available as a resource for other community members. All are welcome to join.
